Christmas Recipe - Apple Wassail

Apple Wassail Bowl

Makes : 12 servings

Ingredients :
6 small tart apples

1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 quart apple cider
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups dry sherry
4 thin lemon slices

Method :
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Grease a 10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inch baking pan.
3. Core and halve apples, arrange (cut side up) in pan.
4. Sprinkle with brown sugar and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until tender. Set aside.
5. Just before serving, pour cider in saucepan and heat to just below boiling point.

6. Stir in remaining ingredients over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
7. Remove lemon slices. Pour mixture into punch bowl.
8. Garnish with apple halves.

Christmas Breakfast Recipe

Christmas Breakfast Omelet

Serves : 8

Ingredients :
10 slices of bread
1/2 pound cheddar cheese, grated
1 pound bacon, cooked
6 eggs
3 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt

Method :
1. Make the Night Before Trim crust off bread, cube and put into ungreased 9 x 12 baking dish.

2. Cover bread with grated cheese.
3. Put a layer of crumbled bacon over cheese.
4. In large bowl beat eggs, add milk and salt.
5. Pour milk mixture over bread, cheese and bacon.
6. Let stand in fridge over night.
7. Bake 45 mins at 350 degrees.

Christmas Recipe - Choclate Dipped Spoons

Chocolate Dipped Spoons Recipe

Serves : 8

Ingredients :
4 squares (1 oz each) bittersweet, or semisweet chocolate, chopped
4 squares (1 oz each) premium white chocolate, chopped.

Method :
1. Melt chocolate squares separately.
2. Line baking sheets with waxed paper.
3. Dip metal or heavy-weight plastic teaspoons into chocolate.
4. Place on waxed paper to cool.
5. Let sit until chocolate hardens, about 1 hour.
6. For 2 toned spoons, re-dip in alternated chocolate.
7. Place in airtight container between sheets of waxed paper.
8. Store in cool place up to 3 weeks.

Christmas Soup

Serves : 8

Ingredients :
1 large can V-8 juice (46 fl. oz.)
1 can beef consommé (11 oz)
2 bay leaves
4 cloves
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of Tabasco sauce

Method :
1. Simmer all ingredients for 1 hour.
2. Serve hot in demitasse cups.

Christmas Recipes - Spritz Cookies

Spritz Cookies

Ingredients :
1 cup butter (don't use margarine), softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg

Method :
1. Heat oven to 400 deg.
2. Mix butter and sugar.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
4. At this point divide the dough into two or three parts and place in separate bowls.
5. Use food coloring to color the dough different colors
(for Christmas, red and green make a nice combo).
6. When putting the dough in the press, try to spoon each color in on one side of the press, so
that you'll get the multi-colored effect.
7. Bake until the cookies are set but NOT brown, 6 to 9 minutes.
8. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

Christmas Pie Recipe - Egg Nog Pie

Egg Nog Pie Recipe

Ingredients :
4 3/4 ounce package vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
2 cups eggnog
1 1/4 cups milk
1 tablespoon light rum
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
9" graham cracker pie shell
Whipped cream
Nutmeg

Method :
1. Cook pudding mix for for pie filling using 2 cups eggnog and 1 1/4 cups milk.
2. Stir in rum and nutmeg;
3. Pour into crust.
4. Cover surface with plastic wrap;
5. Chill several hours.
6. Garnish with whipped cream and nutmeg.

Ingredients :
1/2lb. Butter,

Creamed 4T 10X Sugar
2t Vanilla
2C Flour
1C Chopped Pecans

Method :
1. Mix and Roll then press with a fork
2. Bake 15 Min - @ 375F
3. While hot roll in cinnamin and sugar.

Christmas Recipe - Bourbon Ham

BOURBON HAM

Ingredients :
10 - 12 lb fully cooked Ham
1 cup orange juice
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Bourbon
1 Tablespoon ground cloves

Method :
1. Place ham in heavy plastic bag.
2. Mix ingredients - pour over ham.
3. Enclose ham in bag. Refrigerate overnight.
4. Reserve marinate.
5. Put ham in baking pan.
6. Bake at 325 for about 1-2 hours, or until heated through.
7. Remove skin and shave fat to 1/4 inch.
8. Score fat into 1 inch diamonds.
9. Insert whole clove in each diamond.
10. Baste with marinate.
11. Cook 1 hour more.

Christmas Recipe - Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce


Ingredients :
1 lb. cranberries = 2 cups
3/4 c. orange juice
1 orange cut in half


Method :
1. Cook these until all popped.
2. Add 1 c. sugar after cooked.
3. Squeeze juice from orange into cranberries.
4. Leave orange peel in until serving.

Christmas Wreath Candy

Ingredients :
1/3 cup butter or margarine
20 Marshmallows Green food coloring
2 ¼ cups cornflakes

Method :
1. Prepare this candy just before you plan to use it, as it hardens quickly.
2. In microwave or top of double boiler, melt butter and marshmallows.
3. Add food coloring as desired.
4. Remove from heat.
5. Add cornflakes and stir until well coated.
